“Pasta is really one of the finest foods ever invented. And there is nothing like creating your own fresh pasta at home with an automatic pasta maker. And with the world-wide-web you can conveniently find great deals for these online.
If you are the kind of person who loves homemade pasta, then an automatic pasta maker machine is one of the most useful kitchen appliances ever invented. Even better if you are one of those unfortunate few who have had not been able to enjoy fresh pasta right out the extruder attachment then when you do, you are going to be in for the flavor treat of a life time.
Quite a lot of people like me really like going out for Italian food and because I am from the East Coast, this was always a easy thing to do. But when I moved out west to the desert, I found that Italian restaurants, even second rate ones, were practically nonexistent.
And great ones even fewer and farther between.
That’s when I knew I had to start creating my own pasta at home. I used to imagine that creating my own pasta was a tough thing to do. First, mix the dough, put it into the pasta making machine, connect up the extruder attachment or the die for the pasta and get the machine to to operate. Sounded way too complicated for me.
But it turned out to be way less complicated than what I had believed at first. The dough was a snap to mix up. Adding it into the pasta maker was even less complicated, and then all I did was switch it on and fresh pasta started coming out. Depending on what shape I wanted I had to cut it off when it was being extruded but that was straightforward. And tasty, Oh My Goodness.
After my very first encounter with the pasta maker I was absolutely hooked. I searched through Amazon for reviews of the various pasta makers. I tracked down pasta recipes on the web. And I even made a decision I was going to try making my own sauce for my fresh pasta.
And much to my amazement, I realized I was preparing way too much pasta at a go round. So I got myself one of those pasta drying racks so I can dry the fresh pasta a bit before freezing. Neighbors started dropping by the house on a frequent basis just to say “Hi” and see if there was something cooking up in the pasta pot.
Now I am not saying that this appliance changed my whole life, its just that I found that by checking out the world a little bit more I found a new fun sort of that I can appreciate and share with others. And that has made the minor price I paid out for my automatic pasta maker a real bargain.”

Automatic Pasta Maker – Types of Pasta Makers and What They Do For You
By G. Smitty
“In case Italian food is your weakness and cooking your passion, then there is nothing that should stop you from investing in an automatic pasta maker. Making your own fresh pasta is happiness in itself. You won’t believe the satisfaction you will get from making your own pasta. Serving to your family and guests is an added advantage. You can make the desired pasta in your chosen recipe with the ingredients you wish to use and at a time most convenient to you! With good pasta makers you can control the pasta you wish to create and it becomes so easy; you have to try it to believe it!
There are many automatic pasta makers available in the market. They help you make various kinds of pasta like the spaghetti, lasagna, fettuccine, and farfalle. Rolling the dough with hand will not be able to give you a uniform thickness. The dough is much lighter in the automatic maker and the pasta that is created can absorb more sauces and juices. This makes the pasta dish very tasty. Ideally you must cut pasta from small pieces and make the dough really thin. Thin pasta is also easier to cook. The advantage these automatic pasta makers give you is that you can set the thickness of the dough. It helps you have a control over how thick you need your pasta to be.
Some of the automatic pasta makers also do the mixing of all ingredients of the dough. They have a reservoir where you need to put in the ingredients and they get mixed up. Not just that some machines are equipped to knead your dough also! More so, you can adjust the speed of the mixing and kneading. This helps you get the dough of the desired consistency.
In case the dough sticks on the machine you must dust the automatic pasta makers with enough flour. Even the dough must be dusted with flour so that it does not stick to the machine. Electronic pasta makers are very convenient and they save a lot of your time and effort.
Once the dough is rolled the next step is to cut it into your desired pasta shape. You need to fix the right attachment that will help you get the pasta in the shape the recipe demands. Many come with a variety of attachments that will enable you to make different kinds of pasta. These attachments can be removed from the machine and it is easy to clean them as well. Some companies have attachments that can be safely washed in a dishwasher.
Few automatic pasta makers also come with their video demonstrations that will guide you on the entire process. They also have cleaning tools like brushes that will help you to keep your machine and attachments clean. If you have an automatic pasta maker, it becomes very simple to treat your family to a great Italian meal once in a while or over weekends.”
